ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS
Can my teen participate in LIFT's middle school program?
Students in 6th through 8th grades at Suttons Bay, Northport, and Glen Lake Schools are invited to attend LIFT's middle school program Mondays through Fridays during the school year. We just ask that a parent/guardian fills out our permission form on their behalf.
What does it cost for my teen to participate in LIFT's middle school program?
LIFT is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides free and accessible programming to Leelanau County's youth. We are funded through community contributions, grant funding, business sponsorships, and fundraising events. As such, we encourage families who are able to make a donation in support of LIFT's mission! However, it is not a requirement.
Will my teen require transportation to/from LIFT's middle school program?
LIFT's middle school program meets daily in our very own classroom at the school your student attends. Students are able to walk to our room after school and will need to be picked up at 5:30 PM. If transportation home is needed for your youth to be able to attend LIFT's middle school program, please communicate that need to your teen's specific Middle School Program Coordinator.
When does LIFT's middle school program take place?
LIFT's middle school program takes place during the school year on Mondays through Fridays from school dismissal until 5:30 PM. Any special events or activities outside of these normal hours will be communicated ahead of time.
